I have a resmed eleite with a chin strap. The mask covers my whole nose. I am new to all of this. I did good sleeping with it all last week, however now my teeth and jaws really hurt. I think my teeth are grinding at night because of the position my mouth sits in with all of this stuff on my face. I have a hard
Time keeping my mouth completely closed.
Would a mouth guard, like the ones athletes were be a solution?
Mouth and teeth hurt
Re: Mouth and teeth hurt
Try taping. There is lots of discussion on the subject, just type in the word taping.

Started cpap in 2010.. still at it with great results.
Re: Mouth and teeth hurt
Or look into 'full face' masks (they just extend a bit downward to cover your mouth, allowing you to have it open when sleeping but not lose the cpap air that way).
Re: Mouth and teeth hurt
First thing that came to mind when I read this is you have your mask on too tight. Just a thought.

Yes, my teeth hurt when I used a nasal mask, not with the FFM.

When mask designers start using faces of apneics (is that a word?)
instead of MODELS when they design the masks, maybe they would fit better.
Genius plan: ' make the equipment fit the people who do NOT need it. . .
Charge a mint to try them on----Never, ever use 3-d imaging to match the face to the mask.
Drag our knuckles. Grunt. Drool.'

Have you consult it with your dentist? If not, try to discuss him what really bothers you and explain your situation. Hope it help a bit.
