Hey you weight watchers....it's Friday!

Post by yawn » Fri Nov 04, 2005 1:57 pm

So how was your week?? I think I blew it....couldn't keep my fingers out of the halloween candy. I finally had my son hide it from me (and I haven't gone searching for it). I got up the courage to weigh myself yesterday and I don't think I gained anything (woohoo!!!). Friday is "jeans day" where I work so I grabbed my jeans, pulled them on, and they were way too big!!! I couldn't figure out a way to adjust them so that they stayed up and didn't look like clown pants. So, I happily pulled them off and looked for the next lower size (I have tons of clothes that I haven't been able to wear...forever..). I'm really not sure why these jeans didn't fit. I don't think I lost anymore weight and I haven't been able to exercise for at least a week (tendonitis in my foot...very painful). But hey, who am I to questions the "weight watcher gods". If they want my jeans to fall off then that's ok with me.
How did your week go??? If you've never posted here and want to know how to join in....just add your comments to the thread. There is no "official" enrollment...everybody's welcome.

Amy,
Good for you with those "clown pants." You know, your body starts to redistribute the weight as you lose lbs. and sounds like that's what is going on with you. Keep up the great work. And good that you didn't go looking for the hidden Halloween candy. Mine is sitting on the coffee table, staring at me, taunting me every minute. I just can't take it!!! They're going to have to lock me up to keep me away. I refuse to weigh in this week. Sorry, but depression is not something I want to develop (LOL).

Tonight is my 30 year high school reunion, one of the main reasons for wanting to lose weight back in July. I guess it's too late to lose any more before 8 PM, right?

Good luck to everyone else. Hope we have some big losers.

Ted, thanks for the congrats. I am going with much apprehension. It WON'T be pretty, I don't think, as we are all approaching 50 now. How times flies...

About you and your 24 lbs., that is friggin wonderful!!! You must be so happy. Keep up the great work.

Have a blast Lori!!!! I haven't been to any of my reunions...don't have the guts or the inclination. Maybe I'll go some day.....
Have fun!!!

Way to go Ted. Well at the end of this week I only lost 1 pound but that is good with all the candy around the house.

i know there is no fair comparison to someone dieting and someone who cuts there stomach in two, but this seems to be a logical place to post my weight. My weight has slowly been moving upward, so any weight lost by anyone is significant.

Ted...we're all fighting the same battle...how we choose to fight the war really doesn't matter. I think that what you did is very brave and I'm really glad you're willing to share the experience with all of us. This is definitely the right place to post about your weight loss!!!! Keep up the great work!

Mary.....you said it perfectly, any loss is great considering all the temptations this week. Congratulations!!
