sore throat

I used my cpap for the first time last night and think i did pretty good. i kept it on all night and i felt less tired this morning

question: my machine has a humidifier were i can set the temperature. it is preset for 80 deg. after a few hours of being awake, i got a sore throat and have had it all day. would this be related to sleeping with the machine? should i up the temp?

you want to set your temp about the same as it is in the room that the unit is set up in. I do not know what unit you areusing so am not sure that you may need to turn up the humidity a bit to1 or 1.5 but this will very by the relitive humidity in the room as well.

if your temp is 80 and you have your humidty set at zero this may be why you are having issues more info please we are all here to help but need input.

What kind of mask are you using? If it is a nasal mask you maybe mouth breathing which means you are losing therapy, if it isn't you should play with the humidity settings - some like it more humid while others don't.
