How to Separate S9 for travel?

Post by mray300 » Thu Sep 02, 2010 9:32 am

I need to travel with the S9 and see to fit in the case it needs to be separated into two parts. I don't want to break it. It evidently clicks together. How do you separate it?

There is a rectangular button on the back of the unit that you can push to release the two parts of the device.

On the back of the humidifier there is a button near the S9. Push the button and pull apart gently while keeping the button depressed. Looking at the back it is black with a depression in the middle. Have a good trip.

Thank you, thank you. Even knowing I was looking for a "button" I had trouble finding it. Duh.

And don't forget to empty your humidifier tank.

I always empty and dry the reservoir in the morning. I went ahead and got the dishwasher cleanable model. I like to be able to take it apart and get it clean. If you are forced into using some tap water, this might be a good idea. Saving the tank that came with the machine for backup.

Have you tried running that s9 without the humidfier connected? Just wondering if you notice a difference in noise level especially in the mask
