Will I look like Miss Piggy from using nasal pillows?

Post by Sillyme » Thu Sep 02, 2010 7:21 am

Ok, I know it's silly , but there must be some people out there who have been using them for years and could maybe give some reassurance? I know my nose is still getting used to it and is a little irritated, but . . .
What!!? Wylie was trying to eat me.
Any time spent being unhappy is wasted.

If a disgusting childhood habit didn't change my nose, (undiagnosed allergies), then you are probably in no danger.
Also, intelligent orthodontists are no longer blaming thumb-sucking for overbites--

Hi there
My nose is the same as it has always been. If your nose is all "piggied" up when you wear your pillows, perhaps you have them on too tight. They are supposed to just sit on the edge of your nares, with the soft, spiky bit just directed inside. When you are all set up you should be able to put two fingers between your face and the straps on each side.......they fit very loosely.
Good luck
Nan

I have been using nasel pillow type masks for about 5 years now-my wife says my nose is as beautiful as ever, Ha-Ha? Not a silly question at all!

Best to you!

Steve

It's worse than you suspected......use of nasal pillows (I've had them on my nose for 3-years) will cause facial disfigurement. You'll share a close resemblement to me within 72-hours.

I bet I'd get a lot of hugs . . . And no offense meant to Miss Piggy either.

Put it on and take a picture so we can judge for ourselves.

I looked in the mirror last night after putting on my mask (Hybrid) and my nose wasn't piggied, but as soon as I turned on the air it became very large and bulbous!

If you feel like Miss Piggy with the nasal pillows on, loosen those puppies up! They should not be causing the "piggy" effect.
