Hello everyone, I've been using a CPAP for over 5 years. My old machine was a Respironics REMStar PRO with C/Flex and works pretty good, although a little noisy. I also was using the Respironics ComfortLite 2 mask with nasal cushion.
Recently my DME provider told me that I was eligble for a new machine. They pretty much took care of everything by getting in touch with my doctor and updating paper work, etc. and they wanted to give me a ResMed S8 Escape. I've read that it is a good machine, but there was a newer model, the S9. I also heard that the Respironics has a new model as well. So I did my homework and did some searching on this forum.
After some debate and a many posts later, I decided to go ahead and switch brands and go with a ResMed. I chose the S9. My script would not allow me to get the S9 Auto so I ended up with the Elite.
I also decided to try a new mask at this time. I also found help there from this forum and decided on the ResMed Swift/FX. I am a side to side sleeper and so far this new mask has been great.
I've been using my new machine/mask for about 2 weeks now and just love it. Not only does it look great on my nightstand, it is extremely quiet and the mask seems to stay on. At least I'm not waking up during the night to re-adjust. Now I just have to figure out how to get the data from the SD card on to my computer with the ResScan software.
Thanks for this forum.
Sleep well,
Erik
