I just started with my cpap this weekend and can't say I have had the best night sleep yet I know I have to be patient. I have the s8 elite with humdifier. My questions is the machine is very quiet but I can't believe the noise when I use the mask. I have the swift nasal pillows to try but my husband said it is really noisy and I noticed that myself. Also I have a standard mask to try also from resmed as they wouldn't upgrade me when I got the machine. It is quieter but still not the best. I am liking the mask better but need to know what is a good mask to use and quiet.I have a small face and am finding I don't like the pressure above my lip from the seal also. Anyhelp I won't give up. Thanks in advance
First few nights and have some questions

I too have a small face and have found good success using the Comfort Curve mask. (Note: not everyone is happy with this mask. You can do a subject search on it and see the various views from members of this forum). I found that when I used wedge-shaped make-up sponges under the cheek pads of this mask it made a much better fit on my face. It also did not leave me with the massive red marks I got from other masks. The Comfort Curve comes with three nose-pieces, small, medium and large. I can use either the small and the medium, but prefer the medium for comfort even though I have a small nose. My second choice would be a full face mask for a small face, but I found these irritated my skin too much.
Best of luck!

awakeandhappy,
Most people seem to do well with the Activa. They also make the seal size in shallow. Perhaps that would be a good thing to try. Why not go to CPAP FAQ and check into the threads on the different masks? Maybe you can get some info that might help you decide what you want to try.
Just remember, as I'm sure you already know, what works for one person may not work for another. Good luck.
