lol i know weird OT
i feel like since i've joined this board i just keep reading and reading about sleep apnea. i also feel like it's the only thing on my mind and it's driving me crazy. so... i thought why not post something totally unrelated to sleep apnea lol i think we all know why we are here (for support with sleep apnea or to provide support) so it's nice to talk about something other then that sometimes
so have u seen any good movies lately either in theatres or renting? my wedding anniversary is coming up on the 18th so me and dh would like to go out and see a movie. the other guys looks good as well as inception. hubby said he wanted to see dinner for schmucks

You might like this old discussion -- went on for twelve pages with a lot of people listing their favorites.

Re: OT: seen any good movies lately?
They actually make good movies anymore?
That was evil to say wasn't it? Last movie I saw at the movie theater was HP and the Prisoner of Askaban (June 2004). I was so unhappy I haven't paid to see any of the other HP movies at the theater (although I did buy the DVD for #4 and #5). I have yet to actually sit through #6 - to me the beginning is so disjointed I just cannot sit through it. And I am a self admitted HP nut. I have probably 50+ books on the whole HP world.
The last really good movies I saw were the Lord of the Rings triology

I fear that questions like this call to mind the idiom of, "one man's meat is another man's poison." Movie likes and dislikes are so subjective.
We're fairly regular movie goers, but within a fairly narrow range of genres...comedies, romantic comedies, historical dramas, etc.
Although we have walked out of a movie a few times, I still use Rotten Tomatoes as a guidepost.

thanks for that site, i think it's a good idea.
i am pretty openminded when it comes to movies. i watch all kinds. my fav. are horror though although i can't seem to find a good one anymore. it is really expensive to go out to the movies as well which i know goes up each year and is a turn off to seeing it in the theatre.

As for costs, we only go to matinees, and with the senior citizen discount our tickets are $7.00. We also belong to Regal Theaters free Regal Crown Club, which earns points toward free tickets and other goodies.
If we go to the movie on Monday the membership entitles us to $1.00 candy, and the same for popcorn if we go on Tuesday.
The last movie we saw was, "The Kids Are All Right" and enjoyed it.
