How to Download Data from Resmed VPAP Adapt SV?

Post by dif » Thu Jul 29, 2010 9:11 pm

I cannot find out how to download the data from my ResMed VPAP Adapt SV to my computer? I contacted the manufacturer, who tells me that I cannot do it and I need to bring the machine to my physician but I can tell from this site that it is indeed possible. What software and/or cables do I need in order to download this data? Thanks for the help.

I don't have this machine, and I'm new to 'the scene' in general... but from the pictures on cpap.com linked in your signature file, it looks like you need a null modem serial cable and a copy of the ResScan software. I think this is the cable you need:

There is a link in this thread to a significantly cheaper cable that should also work:

Make sure your computer has a serial port on it, and make sure you order a null modem cable with the correct gender & number of pins on both end.

First, if I remember correctly, the VPAP Adapt SV has very limited data UNLESS you have the VPAP Adapt SV Enhanced. If no one shows up here to help you determine which model it is you have you can go to apneasupport.com and send White Beard a PM as he was started w/the VPAP Adapt SV and then switched to the VPAP Adapt SV Enhanced so he is very familiar w/both models. And, I'm pretty sure that you need the proprietary cable so he can help you out w/that as well as he has the software and the necessary cable.

I have the Adapt SV Enhanced. Connected to an older computer that still had a serial port by standard $10 null modem cable. You can also get a serial to USB cable.

There is an older, long ASV thread with details. It may be linked above?

Good luck!
