I apologize if this is a dumb question, but I've looked in the Wiki, and also on some of the machine descriptions on cpap.com, and I still don't know what EPR or EDR is. Please define this for me?
Thanks!

Re: EPR? EDR?
EPR is exhalation pressure relief. EPR is a feature on some machines that reduces the pressure during exhalation. Some people find it easier to breathe against a machine with EPR. Newer machines from ResMed and Respironics have EPR. ResMed calls it EPR and it has 3 different levels of relief, plus off. Respironics calls EPR A-Flex or C-Flex (they are a bit different from each other and some machines have both) and both are either on or off.
It should be noted that some people find that they must increase their pressure settings when using EPR to get the same therapy results as when they do not use EPR.

Re: EPR? EDR?
Thank you! Now it makes perfect sense.
Re: EPR? EDR?
It should also be noted that the F&P machine you have listed in your equipment does not have any kind of exhale pressure relief.

I have a couple of topics at: http://www.sleepandcpap.blogspot.com
relating to EPR and the Flex technologies. Have a look!
