Log out. Delete the cpaptalk cookie from your machine. Delete any future messages about threads you are watching - if you don't log in no more messages will be sent.

Then vamoose.

Because she thinks she was dissed in this thread:

Leaving is not enough for her. She wants to take a chunk out of the members she thinks dissed her. Good luck with that.

I hereby pronounce thee unjoined.

Linda, sorry to hear your experience here was such that you don't see a value in staying. Some of what you have experienced is not reflective of the usual interactions, but unfortunately, sometimes it's like that. Everyone won't always agree with you, and not everyone will hold back in saying so. But I'm pretty sure if even now you posted a cpap problem, even those you've bumped heads with would jump in with any helpful advice they could offer. Yours was just one thread, one topic. You might want to ride it out and get a fuller picture.

Hi Sharon

If you do not want to see any posts by a particular person, just put them on your enemies list (more an ignore list than an enemies list). Then you will never see what that person has posted again, unless you deliberately chose to.

And you will be able top stay on the Forum, and get the benefits, without the stuff that you found offensive.

For example, with an appropriate enemies listing, I could read your original thread, and only see the posts you probably would not have found offensive.

And it must be remembered that appearance or age or religion is absolutely no guarantee that a person is not about to do harm. And everybody, including security personnel, see you with their eyes, not with your eyes.

But you do not have to throw out the baby with the bathwater if you do not want to.

cheers

Mars

Thank you, Mars. I did not find a way to delete my name from the membership list, so the enemies list was very helpful. Actually, at least one person on this site was very helpful. I came to this site because I found information on a google search from here. Bearded two most of the information I needed in my first thread and you were very helpful in this one.

One of my favorite things about this site is the diversity of opinion, even if that means I get skewered once in a while.

For the most part, the people who post here are very caring about sleep apnea issues that all of us deal with, or have dealt with.

Sharon came here with a huge bigoted chip on her shoulder, and when people called her on it she bristled.

Too bad.
