I have been using it for a week and getting my codes and plugging them in online. I bought the smart module and installed 2 days ago - I don't have the software because I read on this forum I believe that they are coming out w/ a new version of the software very soon. So, I plugged the module in, but now when I get the code, it keeps generating the generic code that shows no hours, and 4.5 pressure.
So, did anyone else have the same issue? If I don't leave it plugged in, will I be able to plug it in when I get the software and get the rest of the data? Does it need an SD card in the smart module at night to have a place to collect the data?
Sorry for bugging you here - but there's not much documentation that I can find.

Re: devilbiss intellipap auto - help needed w/ smart module
I too have a DeVillbis Intellipap Auto machine - I don't actually have software hooked up to the machine. I get the Smart codes reading off my machine - example FP2F-F7F-3VRP and then i go to the Devillibis smart code generator through the internet web site. I get get the information I need maybe not as detailed as using individual software attached. I basically keep it simple -I can see how the pressure stayed during the night, AHI, Pressure plateau time,High Leaks Flow time, NPI & EPI and hours i was actually on the machine. I also am able to get a 7 day report, 30 day report & 90 day report, and compliance usage just from the smart code and using their website. This is a great machine, I recently had to change from auto CPAP to straight CPAP and by using their clinical guide I did it myself and now I am on straight CPAP at 10.5 [working my way to 11 as my md wants] Surprisingly I adjusted from the auto to straight cPAP immediately [previously my pressures were set from 7 - 15]. Possibly because I was definitely air deprived, recently had more events of A-fib which could have happened because I basically was not getting the pressure I needed. I was always feeling tired and also was having more irregular heart beats, besides cognitive deficits. So I hope I am back on the right path - the other thing I would suggest is send a message to DeVillbiss - I got their address right from cpaptalk.com they do post on occasion. they have helped me a great since I purchased IntelliPap and in the beginning I had some problems figuring out things and they were lifesavers and of course this forum has been a real blessing to me. If I can help any further you can pm me. good luck, its really great equipment.

Re: devilbiss intellipap auto - help needed w/ smart module
Thanks for the information - it looks like w/ the 2 days I plugged the smartmodule in, that it's not collecting data. When I took the smart codes for the week and 30 days, there is no info for the last 2 days. I think I'm going to unplug the module tonight - I just need to get 70% compliance for 30 days so I can turn this in to insurance and get reimbursed hopefully. I didn't want to buy the software if a new version is coming out soon.
I'll try and find the address for the devilbiss and see if he can contact me.

My Intellipap did not come with any software or the smart module. Did you all purchase this yourself or through insurance? I'd love to get the additional information on what is going on with me and my apnea.

Re: devilbiss intellipap auto - help needed w/ smart module
The smartlink module is essentially little more than a data logger. It is absorbing your therapy information when it is attached. So, if you don't need to store this data until the new software is out, just detach it. Even with the module attached, you can still get basic nightly data directly off the machine (without smartcode).
Do note that the smartlink module locks on with three plastic hooks. Many people have commented that the smartlink module seems rather flimsy once attached. This is because the lower, third hook did not engage. The tolerances on the lower hook seem to be a little tighter than they should be. Make sure you are pressing the entire body of the smartlink module against the machine while attaching it. If you did it right, it should fit tight and solid. You can leave the module on the machine when travelling, even though the humidifier has to come off.
My IntelliPAP will become my backup/travel machine once I have th BiPAP SV that is coming, hopefully this week. I will probably sell the otherwise wonderful VPAP Auto 25, as its therapy is less optimal for me than the IntelliPAP.
