how do you feel during the day?

Post by fcbartra » Sat Jun 26, 2010 8:28 pm

Depending of how good the quality of my sleep was the night before (always with my CPAP), below is how I feel during the day:
-very thirsty in the morning.
-feel very hot, (high blood pressure?, not according to my doctor).
-by lunch time, very sleepy and hangover. (even if I had a snack)

Just want to know if every one has these same symptoms..

Thank you

Fausto

If you are thirsty, please get tested for diabetes, unless you are fairly sure you're a breathing through your mouth overnight without using a chin strap, tape or full face mask (which would eliminate the dryness and direct the air where it belongs, which is not out there somewhere in the breeze).

Maybe you are opening your mouth and leaking the therapy air out. I know that I went through a month period where I was feeling very crummy during the day, but that stopped once I got my chin strap.

Depends on the day, I suppose. There are days, where driving to my 2nd job, I feel like I am going to fall asleep while driving there....which is exactly one of the reasons why I had the sleep study in the first place! And, why the dr. wants me to try Nuvigil along w/my cpap therapy. But I'd sure rather be facing life with cpap than without!

A full-face mask does not necessarily eliminate a dry mouth. My mouth is horribly dry in the morning. I wake up most mornings with my tongue plastered to the roof of my mouth and many times my lower lip is stuck to my lower teeth! My AHI is great and my leak rate is fine. I also have a "white tongue" many mornings, which goes away with brushing and the dentist said was a classic sign of a dry mouth. After I've been up a short time, the dryness goes away. (I'm not diabetic. I keep very close tabs on it since it runs rampant in my family.)

How do I feel? Some days okay; some days not so okay; never wonderful. But then I have other issues going on that I'm sure are contributing factors. Depending on my mood, some days I get so tired and sleepy I may have to lay down in the middle of the day (I work from home). "Mood" meaning there's a lot of negative going on in my life right now, so I feel like that is contributing to the tiredness and sleepiness. Don't have the hot thing, though.

Mostly i feel good but can have some bad days. But I've never felt anywhere as good as the day after my titration.

I have been looking at this topic for awhile now, and everytime I read it.. I sort of chuckle because

I just want to say....

how do I feel during the day????

I feel like a dust bunny who was vacuumed up by a pissed off merry maid

I feel like the moss at the bottom of a waterful, churning, but not going anywhere anytime soon...

I feel like a butterfly who flew into a garden spider's web, and its been slim pickins till I showed up..

I feel like the bucket at the bottom of a well....

Yep, I have felt a lot of things since I started on my apap adventure

But, I know someday, I will put up a thread, that says..... CPAP WORKED FOR ME!
