Question regarding mask selection on Autoset II

I have a Resmed Autoset II and have just gotten two different nasal masks. I was wondering what mask selection to choose on my machine. I have a Mirage micro and a Mirage softgel. My first thought was to put it on the "Mirage" setting seeing that they both started with mirage. But then I looked on the Resmed website. Anyway, on this chart, they don't have the "Mirage" selection on here. I don't know why but its not there. If you go down to the the Mask/Flow generator settings, Mirage softgel is under the "Activa" mask setting. The Mirage micro is under the "standard". I'm looking in the S8 Flow/Generator settings. So, I have a little dilema here. Do I select "Mirage" for both or do I go according to this chart? I wonder why "Mirage" setting isn't even on there?

The S8s does not have a "Mirage" setting. I just checked my S8 AutoSet II to confirm that. (The S7s do.)
The S8s do have a "Mir Full" setting, which is for Mirage Full Face masks, and not for your Mirage nasal masks.

I realize the S7's do but my S8 Autoset II does also. I know it also has mirage full but it also has mirage.

I just checked mine to reaffirm that it indeed DOES have "Mirage" option on it.

Does it make sense to say that possibly some do and some don't?

Oops.

I just went back and checked my machine again. Let me first state that I am reading the display upside down while peering into the lower shelf of the nightstand. But I have to confess that "Mirage" was indeed there.

It's weird, because there is no reference to "Mirage" for the S8 line in the ResMed table.

Its not clear to me what the final verdict was. I too have a Mirage Micro and an S8 Autoset II. Should I use Standard or Mirage? Does it matter?

The official ResMed chart says that the Mirage Micro setting on the S8 is "Standard".

I find that strange, because it has the same vent rate graph as the Mirage Activa, Activa LT, and SoftGel, and the setting for all of those is "Activa". It seems to me that masks that share a vent rate graph should have the same setting. ResMed may well know something that they are not sharing.

As for the "Mirage" setting that is not recommended for any mask, who knows?
