FOUND: Source for ResMed Data Card Readers

Post by eric_burcham » Thu Jun 03, 2010 8:05 am

I found a VERY professional company in Australia that is happy to ship us our ResMed card readers. PM me for contact information.

They can also provide other card readers and data cables for ResMed equipment, and were very responsive about returning phone calls and emails. My impression was that they really know their stuff, and they have most things in stock. They had my Card Reader for VPAP Auto 25 in stock, and that one is rare.

Good luck all who need this equipment!

Deleted for fear of evil lurkers on the dark side! Sounds like an Apple advertisement

There are evil doers lurking about.

Why point fingers at those who are willing to fight against the dark side?
President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

You can search google with the following string "site:.com.au" to focus on Australian websites. I found two others that list the S8 card reader:

http://cpapshop.com.au
http://www.cpapnq.com.au

Both are $120 AUD for the reader like http://www.cpapaustralia.com.au - however, both of these other websites have much more reasonable shipping rates ($8.45 AUD vs $20 AUD), saving about $10 USD.

My card reader from http://cpapshop.com.au showed up - I'm only one data point, but they seem legit. Exactly a week to arrive! Brand new, in a ResMed box with instructions, etc.. Much cheaper shipping rates than cpapaustralia - like I said, saves about $10 USD. Just FYI since I haven't come across any other posts on this forum or others about http://cpapshop.com.au

I'm not understanding the Resmed card reader advantage. I have a standard USB SD card reader (BestBuy @ Cdn$15) that takes my S9's card and connects perfectly with the Resmed software on my desktop. What does the expensive Resmed card reader do differently? Is this unique to the S8? My father-in-law has an S8 but he is far from technical.

ResMed models prior to the S9 use a proprietary card. Its based on smart card technology, except its physically smaller.
