Are you aware that Cpap.com are the sponsors of this forum?
Re: Clearing out new unused items - Great bargains!
With all those items for sale, you should post on cpapauction.com and not here. This is NOT a sales site but rather a support forum.

Re: Clearing out new unused items - Great bargains!
I am not a business, I looked at cpapauction and it seemed to me it was set up for those who have a regular supply of things to sell. That is not my case, these are surplus items that I thought someone might have use for instead of just sitting in my closet. If the legitimate moderators or list owner want to kill my post, I don't have problem with that. As for the self-appointed list Nazi's, find another hobby.
I am well aware cpap.com provides this forum, I also well aware that there are a lot of folks with limited funds, no insurance, or no benefits available that might need what I have or want to try a different mask and can't afford to, even at cpap.com's fair prices.
In my other thread I have been accused of fraud and trying to profit from my insurance by selling these surplus items. Feel free to to read that thread for my thoughts on those topics.
As for these items, if anyone is truly in a hardship situation, PM or email me and we can discuss getting this stuff to you at no cost. If you are interested and can afford to pay, make me an offer. If you are not interested, please start your own thread to complain about me.

as a member without insurance, I applaud the effort by wilsonville. Those auction in CPAPauction.com are now dominated by professional sellers who posted outrageous prices eg S8 with a bid price starting $1200 - I repeat S8 price not even S9
This is a price for S8 not S9 but S8. In fact I bought an S9 for 55% of that price. If this trend continues, CPAPauction will be in the end just a channel for DMEs to get rid of their stocks at their dictated outrageous price..

I'm grateful to a very active member for posting that he had no use for just the size mask that I wanted to experiment with but couldn't get it through our insurance at the time, so I sent him a PM and he insisted on sending it to me without charge. I did send him the postage but had to remind him for 3 months to cash the $10 check! Unfortunately the mask didn't work out so I offered it to someone else here without insurance who was struggling and needed a FF. I believe he's still using that mask to this day. Of course I wouldn't want this forum to become an auction with lists of merchandise to sell, but if we can pay it forward to one of us in need occasionally, I think it's all good.

I was one that went without insurance for a few months. If it wasn't for 2 very gracious and non profiting members here, I wouldn't have been able to continue therapy. One went so far as to exclude their return address so that I couldn't send them the money for postage at least. The other at least let me reimburse them for the postage but wouldn't hear of me paying anything for the item.
So to the OP, since your insurance paid for the items, then why not pay it forward and just give the items away. There would be less hassle and in the end, more respect.

I got my machine from this man and I am very grateful that he had one to sell when I needed one. I also bought a mask from someone here that couldn't use it. I don't have insurance and I am very grateful to find a bargain when I need it.

Re: Clearing out new unused items - Great bargains!
Doris, you are a very nice and very practical person. I'd kind of like to see a forum (in this one works) where the vendors participate. I like scuba diving (like everyone else in FL) and there is a big forum where the vendors (manufacturers) jump in to help- not to sell. And mainly it's to correct misunderstandings, etc. If they were to be pushy and not reactive, I think people would shy away, but when they are nice then people like me buy from them because it's pretty obvious they have a serious dedication to their product. Reps from decent companies (and it seems all vendors in CPAP market are decent) seem to know better than to EVER knock a competitor's product.DoriC wrote:I'm grateful to a very active member for posting that he had no use for just the size mask that I wanted to experiment with but couldn't get it through our insurance at the time, so I sent him a PM and he insisted on sending it to me without charge. Oh, if there is one and I simply don't know, please advise.

I am very happy. I turned my rented machine back in to the DME. I keep one of the machines I bought from you in the bag for travel. The other is used daily. I never did get a copy of my prescription so without someone like you I would still be renting. I am more than pleased with my purchase. Now you can't even buy a mask without a prescription. I could make an appointment and go back to the sleep doctor but that is very expensive when you don't have insurance. I work with a woman that will start snoring in the middle of a conversation. Her insurance won't pay for a test for her. She said it would cost 3 thousand dollars for the test and she can't afford it. She is driving her car every day. This is a little scary. She won't use a machine without a test first. I already offered.WilsonVilleUSA wrote:Thanks for the post Stormy, hope you are making good use of it!Stormynights wrote:I got my machine from this man and I am very grateful that he had one to sell when I needed one. Hey there,
If you had provided your position of altruism and community spirit at the head of your post, readers (and there were dozens that didn't take time out of their busy day to respond) who did respond with gentle reminders that this is a sponsored forum would not have expended their energy to do so.
The language you chose: "legitimate moderators" and "self-appointed list Nazis" are offensive, confrontational and disrespectful.
Re: Clearing out new unused items - Great bargains!
All I was saying was that you maybe shouldn't have had that line about Cpap.com in your first post - kind of throwing it in their face like that when they sponsor this forum (which you are taking advantage of).
