If there is no snoring then none will be recorded. The higher pressure may effectively eliminate any snoring so none will be recorded - if that is what you are asking.

my problem is: pressure 16 I have snornig, pressure 17 I dont'have snornig,

in the manual of encore pro is written : "The detection of vibration snore is disabled when the preset for the pressure is above 16 cm H2O."
how do you know if I still snore, if my pressure is 17?

sorry for my english,

This is the first time I have heard of this. Can anyone else on a high pressure confirm?

What machine do you use popotti?

I don't know for certain, but it could be possible that beyond a certain pressure (in this case 16 cm H2O), the method used to determine snoring is unreliable, as the higher pressure could cause vibrations which may be logged as snoring, so they disable that feature.

The Remstar Plus machine doesn't collect data at all, period. Jim

Jim,

He's got "C-Flex +", not a REMstar Plus. He's either got the Pro or the Auto version of the System One.

I read the same thing about five years ago on the forum, but never could find any "proof". I was under the impression that it must have applied to the Auto/APAP machines because snoring is one of the "events" they use to increase pressures. When I started out with my Pro 2, I was at 18 cm. and it still recorded snoring. So, on my fixed-pressure CPAP, that wasn't the case. I don't know what they've programmed into the new PR System One machines.

thanks
I understand that the limit of 16 is only autoCPAP,
I have normal CPAP, so I'm happy because my snoring by 17 to is "0"

My friends tell me when I visit or go camping that my snoring blows the roof off everything. Now that I have the BiPAP machine I'm not sure if it stops the snoring or not. I stayed up all night one night to find out and didn't hear a single snore
