Just read the article you posted. Interesting. I'm glad that they are coming out with alternatives to these expensive sleep studies. So many of us are without insurance and perhaps this is one way to make a home sleep study available to many of us who really need it it.

Here in Australia home polysomnograph is readily available, I had one a month ago. Fitting oneself up with all the sensors and equipment strapped on without the help of a second person is a little difficult but manageable, I must say however that I am extremely confident with technology of all sorts, some people would find the process too daunting. If you have somebody supportive to help it would be much easier and less stressful.
In Aus Medicare pays the bulk of the cost (I had to pay $110), plus I had to pay (too much) to the company that organised it here in QLD.
