Dede, have you tried any of the suggestions made to you already (in the other threads)? Did you give them each (one at a time) a few days of trial?

I have been using melatonin to help me fall asleep that seems to help.
I take it a couple of hours before i intend to fall asleep.
I make sure my sinuses are as clear as I can get them before putting on the mask.
I use the same mask as you do it is fairly comfortable. Hopefully it is for you as well.

No it is not easy. I am very new to this as well. I have not slept very many hours with it, but had a follow-up visit with the doctor yesterday, and he thinks I am doing wonderful. Remember the benefits and know that your body is adjusting. i just found this site and have read many wonderful, encouraging things here. My only suggestion is to keep trying every day. Some days seem to work better than others.

Are you on Auto or a set pressure?
When was the last time you had a titration in a sleep lab?
Are you sure your not mouth breathing?
Do you have the software to look at your S9 reports?
Humidity setting can influence toleration, have you tried different humidity settings?
Do you feel confident that your CPAP setting is correct and that it is insomnia?
Have you tried prescription sleeping pills with your CPAP?
Are you taking a medication that can disrupt your sleep?

If you hate CPAP you might need to look at a modality change...CPAP Auto, BiPAP or maybe a retitration in the sleep lab, see your sleep doctor to make sure you are on a well titrated settings.
