MASK FOGS UP

Post by newname » Sun Apr 25, 2010 3:49 pm

Does this happen to anyone else? When I breathe I can see my breath fogging up the mask sometimes. What does this mean? I wear an Activa LT

Its moisture from your breath that condenses on the plastic mask because its cooler than your breath...

Tells me that the mask already has some moisture in it and your breath "overloaded" the moisture content of the air. Its not a problem until there is so much moisture in your mask and tube that it becomes droplets... called rainout.

You could probably turn down your humidity before that happens.

Insulating your hose can also help decrease rainout if you need the humidity to keep you from drying up.
