Cpap has taken 10 years off my life

Post by Froro » Fri Apr 23, 2010 3:05 pm

Yup indeed it has. It hasn't shortened it by 10 years but it's certainly taken it off my face and I feel at least 10 years younger. Restorative sleep finally!! (and a kick butt antiaging cream)

A year ago I looked awful. Big black circles under the eyes. Skin tone uneven, laughlines and wrinkles starting up, puffy eyes all the time.
Over the last year the circles have slowly been decreasing. I started a new skin care regiment which has been incredible as well but the circles remained but again slowly fading.

I took the pic in my avatar this morning. Feeling great....almost no circles left, laughlines and crow's feet definately diminished.

So here I am a little over a year ago...granted I'm covered in drywall dust but yeah...looking a little awful. This was about 6 months before cpap.
Bags under eyes, swollen eyes (not from drywall dust), wrinkles can't really be seen but they are there!! That greyish palour I have isn't all from drywall dust!

Yesterday I had a bit of a makeover. Facial, and dyed my hair to get rid of those pesky grey hairs. Took a pic this morning. I haven't felt good enough about my appearance in years to post a pic...once in a blue moon I'll get a decent shot but here I am. After a little over a year on cpap....10 years poof!!

41 is fast approaching and not only do I feel like I did in my late 20's, I don't feel like I look like a more mature woman of age anymore either!!

Wow what a difference. You look great!! I am glad your therapy is working so well for you. I have been 2 years but not getting long sleep. I know some nights I am down to deep sleep because I dream. I just never seem to get more than 6 hours at most. I called my dme last year and they asked for my card. I sent it and they indicated that all was well. I jut sent the card in again and we shall see what they say.

I found a product called "Jouviance". It was developed by a Cdn dermatologist. Easy peasy system. Daily wash x2, 3 in 1 cream two times a day. That's it.

I added a Dermaglow eye stick thingy recently to help get rid of the last of the black circles...thumbs up.

If you google Jouviance their website should pop up. Not sure if I can direct link a commercial website here. Really really terrific stuff.

Congrats on your progress. That's amazing, particularly since you have to drink the same Lake Ontario water and breathe the same coal-fired power station air that I do!

There was a reason my kids were my avatar until today.
