password bugs in Encore Pro 2.2

Post by cpapernewbie » Mon Apr 19, 2010 4:38 pm

Just download data from Saturday and Sunday. Saturday: sleep only 3:30 hours, Sunday was great 8 hours.

However I received a warning from the software: my password is expiring in 14 days. What is this?

Check out in the profile. I set the password expiry at 365 days. Well, in fact I have installed this software only for 75 days. So how can this software calculate that I have used it for 351 days?

I then checked the HELP. This HELP document mentioned that you can set the password expiry to never... never expire. However I try, I cannot change the 365 (try 999 but refused)

This is my submission of possible bugs for EP 2.2 :
1. bug in the document for documenting something that is not true and
2. bug in the password expiry calculation. (I do not change my laptop date, so the problem should be in EP 2.2)

Me too I tried to change the expiration time and the software didn't allowed me more than 365 days.

I haven't had any message about expiration, for now , I started using the machine only 15 days ago.

Something that I noticed is if I use the machine for a nap, that day the waves graph will show only a short period of time what I suppose is the nap time and nothing for the night time. Also, even if I check the SD card each day (and haven't had a nap) I don't have a waves graph for each day, I hate that.

Although I like better the feeling and results of sleeping with the PR1 (even with the boring pressure pulses) than using the S8 auto, I have a hard time adapting to the capricious EP2 software. There is nothing perfect in life

Can you add a 1 to the end of your password? Or my fav for those that require frequent changes is to use a 'base' password for all of my pwds then adding a numeric for the month at the end.

Ex. Pwd04 - if I can remember the month I changed it - I'm all set. I suppose you could add Apr also.

I have to admit I'm not particularly fond of or impressed w/EncorePro 2.2 But I'll get used to it. We WILL come to an amicable agreement - eventually.

If you set the number of days to zero, you'll never be asked for another password change. It's a lot easier.
There's also the administrative password reset utility if you forget it. But hay, write it down somewhere. It's not like this data is a state secret or anything, eh?

Dreamdiver
thanks for the great tip. I tried 999 - no way, 366 no way. Surprising setting to 0 is the one trick. Glad to get this tip. Thx

Hi,

I recently started on a PR S1 BiPAP machine. I was wondering where I need to go to procure Encore Pro 2.2. software. Would any kind soul please point me in the right direction?

Thank you.
