Remstar Auto card reader in Canada?

Post by stunned1 » Sat Oct 15, 2005 10:50 am

Does anyone know where to purchase a Remstar Auto card reader in Canada?

Apparently my DME said it's not for us, only them. We can only give them the card and they will have it read and printed out for us.

From what I understand cpap.com cannot send over the border.

Thank you for any help.

http://www.2factors.com

order the DT3500 slider

You'll also need the Encore Pro software to "see" the data on the card. That's $99 from https://www.cpap.com

Hi stunned 1,

I bought my card reader with the Encore Pro software from Canadian Home Healthcare Inc. They have 5 or 6 offices in the Toronto area. Their phone # is 1-800-268-5003 web site http://www.canadianhomehealthcare.ca I think.

I paid $210 CDN for reader & software but my understanding I was the only one who had ever done this. When I told them the price CPAP.COM was charging I think they gave me a deal.

If you are interested in trying it out, I am easily accessible in Brampton. Would be willing to read your card here and print up your report. Or if you have an honest face with mask lines and promise to give it back you could borrow it. Do you have the software, I have that too.

Remstar auto card reader in Canada?

Post by stunned1 » Sat Oct 15, 2005 7:25 pm

Thank you for your replies.

Unclebob I think I will call Canadian Home Healthcare on Monday to see about getting the Encore pro and software. I looked on their website and they have an office in Oakville which is easily accessible to me. I live near Royal York/Bloor area.

I have no trouble using CPAP all night, but I am still not feeling very well at all. I use the Remstar Auto/Humidifier with a Mirage FF Mask because I mouth breathe. I would like to get a daily record of what is going on to see if maybe I am having large leaks or my pressure of 5/10 should be changed.

Is it fairly simple to use?

Thanks,

Lisa

Unclebob

I wanted to say thank you for offering to read my card or let me borrow your reader. That was very kind.

I have wanted to get my own reader for a while. When I do get it I may need your help unless it is very easy to use.

Thanks again

Lisa
