Still fairly new to all this; been on the mask now for 3weeks and feeling great and not falling asleep during the day and early evenings. MORE ALERT! Seem I can only keep the mask on for 7 hours; wake up after seven hours of sleep and need to take if off have had enough (I guess). The last two mornings I have awaken after 7 hours or so of mask wearing but my lower legs hurt and feel tried (my legs that is).
Am I getting too much oxegyen or not enough or is it something else?

I had hip pain the first few weeks.
It maybe that because you are sleeping more deeply you are not moving and your body is not used to that.
Try getting a softer mattress cover (I use an old duvet), neck support on your pillow and if you sleep on your side then put a pillow between your knees to keep your spine straight and keep you upper leg from pulling.

I woke up with cramps in my calves and foot. I started taking my calcium/magnesium supplement and doing some leg stretches before bed, and they have stopped. And I use a pillow between my lower legs to keep hips, knees and ankles aligned.

I vote for all of the above. Proper alignment and calcium/magnesium supplements.KatieW wrote:I woke up with cramps in my calves and foot. I too agree with all the above. I'm curious about why you said "not RLS". There is another sleep disorder called Periodic Limb Movement Disorder (PLMD or PLMS) that happens while asleep and the person is usually unaware. Before mine was diagnosed, I had unexplained leg pain. Just something to keep in mind if your best efforts at resolution leave you still hurting and anyone observing your sleep reports lots of leg activity. The prior stated possibilities are probably more likely.

When my PLMD acts up I have leg pain too. It is different than that cramping pain when I needed calcium supplements.
