Respironics System One SD Card Question
Respironics System One SD Card Question
How do you download the data from the SD card to the EncorePro software? It cannot see the SD card reader for some reason, it just looks for the SmartCard which I do not have.
Re: Respironics System One SD Card Question
It should automatically detect the SD cardreader.
When I have my external reader plugged in, it comes up in the list of available devices when I select "Download", even if there is no card in the reader.
Do you have EncorePro 2.2? I don't think SD cards existed in the Respironics machines when previous versions were released. It should have a sub-directory with USB drivers that get installed when you install the software.

I have 2.2. I will have to try an external reader,
Re: Respironics System One SD Card Question
I downloaded my EP2 from the internet to a file. I then burned the file to a CD. I then ran the CD and downloaded the software to my computer. I am not sure how or why I did it like that, I was just in my own little world for a while. I waited a few days then I loaded the ep2, put in my sd card and it all works like a charm. But, I couldn't tell you why or how!
Re: Respironics System One SD Card Question
mine works just fine, plug in the card reader and hit download
Re: Respironics System One SD Card Question
I had to jack around with mine a little bit, but it settled down and works just great! I have an internal card reader in my computer, and it comes up drive G, click on it, and I'm good to go.

If you have not used SD cards before... you may have to load the driver for your Reader.lorick wrote:I have 2.2. I will have to try an external reader,
An external Reader should not be any different than the one on your hardware. It needs the same driver... although if you add hardware to your OS... that will trigger the DL...

Re: Respironics System One SD Card Question
You can get it from cpap.com. Look under "software" on their site.
They also offer a bundle with a memory card reader but, if you have a memory card reader on your printer, computer, or externally, you don't need the card reader they offer.

Re: Respironics System One SD Card Question
Also, I might add, that their card reader adds $40 to the price of the software. I would definitely stay away from it if you have a System One. The reader that comes with it is a SmartCard reader (actually, it will read just about anything). SmartCards were used from M-Series back. They don't hold much info and they're very hard to come by, and generally just not as desirable as the SD Cards that the System Ones use. They also offer a bundle with a memory card reader but, if you have a memory card reader on your printer, computer, or externally, you don't need the card reader they offer.
You can buy a simple SD Card reader for as little as $5. I think I got mine free packaged with an SD card I bought a few months ago.
So, don't buy the one they bundle with the software unless you need a SmartCard reader (NOT SD CARD READER)... you're just overpaying for it!

Re: Respironics System One SD Card Question
It is an SD card reader (an ordinary memory card reader) that is in the bundle to which I referred on cpap.com
They do have a bundle with the smart card reader and Encore Viewer 1.0 as well but that reader is only for the smart card for M Series and back as well but I was talking about the bundle they offer with Encore Viewer 2.0 and an ordinary memory card reader.
The memory card reader they offer with Encore Viewer 2.0 is overpriced though.

Re: Respironics System One SD Card Question
My mistake... I thought they were offering a multicard reader that was SmartCard capable to make the EncoreViewer 2.0 package compatible with all systems. I probably was looking at the 1.0 package.
Sorry about that!
