Weightloss Surgery Wed. Oct 12

Post by Titrator » Tue Oct 11, 2005 6:12 am

Hi Folks,

Tomorrow I am having Roux eN Y Gastric Bypass surgery at the Georgetown Bariatric Center, in Georgetown, KY.

I have been working to get this since March 2005 and the day is finally here.

It is my goal to keep everyone updated to my recover and weightloss, but more so how it effects my sleep apnea. Will it reduce my pressure or even eliminate OSA all together? That seems to be the million dollar question.

I will be posting from time to time with updates.

It is just after 6pm here in KY and I could eat a bear. No food today except clear liquids. This may be the hardest part of the entire process.

I remember a friend calling me the night before her surgery and hearing her cry into the phone, "Food is myyyy Frieeend". I truly understand those feelings.

I want to thank everyone for the well wishes. I really appreciate all your support and friendship.

Back home on Friday with more news.

Regards,

Ted

Good luck Ted!
My doctor wanted me to consider this surgery but I'm too chicken. I'm trying the diet and exercise route instead.
I hope this goes really well for you. I'm anxious to hear how you're doing.
Take it easy!!!
