Last nites results

Post by pdean44 » Fri Mar 12, 2010 3:12 am

Ok now with the correct mask selected in the machine and wearing my chin strap I had

zero leak rate

ahi - 6.7

ai - 1.2

better readings than i was getting before by far.

Now i need to get that aussie hose. BTw does that hose connect all right to the Mirage Activa LT Nasal CPAP Mask with Headgear i have? I should have asked that before ordering it.

The Aussie hose works with all masks.
Congrats on the great numbers!

I am looking forward to getting the aussie hose. I would imagine it will take a while to arrive.
I was a lot happier with those numbers. Will see how it goes on the nights ahead.

pdean have you considered using a fleece hose cover and running a heated repti cable between the cover and the hose to provide some heat?

A repti cable will run you around $20 from a pet store. You can add a lamp dimmer to adjust the temperature if you like also.

Good report! Now after a few nights like that I'd be interested in how you're feeling during the day.

i ordered the aussie hose so when that arrives it should put an end to that issue.

Rather innovative solution you have there.

I have been feeling more chipper normally all ready. Though the last 2 nights i have had trouble sleeping. I dont believe cpap related. Last nights score i had a higher leak rate again. I am not sure what happened last night. After 2 nites of no leaks i was surprised to see that. my hpi was 10 so that creeped up.

It took about 10 days to get the Aussie hose for me. I hook it up to the Activa Lt mask with no problem. I route the hose up over my head using the cap portion of the PAPCAP Plus and secure it with the velcro circle sewn to the top of the cap. I use the Mirage Softgel cushion on my Activa Lt frame. Just remember to unplug the Aussie hose every morning or put it on a timer as other posters have suggested.
