Be back in a few weeks - wish me luck. :)

Post by Kickthefog » Sat Mar 06, 2010 5:25 pm

Hi all,

Heading for thyroid surgery next week so I won't be on the forum for a few weeks. I can' wait to be back online and relay my GOOD stories of Cpap and General Anesthesia! (I hope). I just wanted to relay that I won't be around since I’ve been trying to answer everyone's questions via post and P.M. on the new S9. I'll be taking it with me of course... so perhaps I’ll be the very first to use the S9 in the recovery room! Not exactly the "1st place award" I was looking for, but someone has to do it!

Heading out Monday so, after tomorrow, I’ll see you folks in a few weeks.
Pat

Yes, perhaps you will be "the very first to use the S9 in the recovery room". With the low AHI you've been getting with the S9, the machine certainly will help you!

I hope that all goes well for you, Pat. I remember you mentioning some time back that your thyroid growths are malignant. We'll miss you here while you're recovering. You have a great attitude!

'fog, all the best for your upcoming adventure.

I don't know what machine you were using before you got the S9.
My suggestion would be to take the simplest machine you have to
the hospital. As has been documented here, many trained medical
professionals have no idea what this equipment is or how to set it up.
That could possibly be the case w/your brand new machine.

Thank you for sharing your S9 experience w/all of us.
I have been following w/interest.

Will look forward to seeing you on down the road.

Thanks SO much everyone. I really, sincerely appreciate your kind words! It sure is nice to be a part of this big "pappin" family here and I'm very grateful. Thanks again everyone for your kindness, and support! It means more than you know.

Pat

I'm back! Thanks again everyone for your well wishes and your support. It was quite the interesting ride to say the least but the CPAP side of the surgery went quite well. It could have went better but not horrible by any stretch. Some interesting things happened that were cpap and surgery related and so i will compile a list of those things and open a thread thay is appropriately named so people can search for and find it so it might help others going forward.

thanks again everyone and great to be back!
Pat
