What is meant by taped lips?

I see this but don't know what it means. Assume it is not two or three wraps of duct tape around your head.
Thanks.

Hi, Ross, and welcome.

Many people prefer to use a nasal mask (rather than a full-face, which covers both nose and mouth), but they experience mouth-breathing or mouth-leaking, negating their therapy pressure. Chinstraps can help to keep the mouth closed, but they're not always effective. So many choose to keep using their nasal mask and tape their mouths closed to prevent leaks. (It sounds worse than it is. )

There's lots of information here on the forum about different techniques used to keep the mouth closed, including Poligrip (between the lips), delicate release painter's tape over the lips, chinstraps, etc.
