M Series Date?

Post by kwikwater » Thu Mar 04, 2010 8:10 am

Does an M series have a way to view the date code in the machine? Even when you download multiple days, you get individual days data. Is it just keeping track of usage and time, with the GMT time references intervals? I reformatted my card the evening of 3-2-10 and got one good night of data. This morning, after the 2nd night, there's no data at all, not even a Red Line noncompliance short night or a blank data. I've always had a date returned for every day. I've downloaded the card Configuration but won't have time this morning to see if I can figure out how to read a BIN file, so any advice there could help too!

Thanks all!!
Kelvin

The reports I get from Encore Pro for my M Series Pro show the actual date. The card can hold about a years worth as I recall.
Note that there is a known issue with the M Series machines. They will often skip recording part of the data on the smart card for a night or two. The compliance data is there but everything is not.

Apparently, you have to have either special software and/or a special cord that goes from your machine to a computer in order to set the time on the M-Series Pro. My machine started at about 5 minutes off, and after three years, it's about 20 minutes off. Talk about frustrating. Time is set either at the factory or by a clinician who bought these clinical tools.
Sorry.

The Respirionics machines are set in Greenwitch Mean Time, (date and time). Encore pro & Viewer converts the GMT time to your time zone that is set in your computer. The clock chip in the Respirionics machines is not a very good one and loses time with age. My "M" series that was bought in late 2007 was 53 min. slow. My Legacy Pro2 is almost 2 hours slow. I supose if you read the data directly off the machine it would be in GMT. The time can only be set by the factory or a service provider. Requires a cable and sleeplink card with the service program to access the internal memory.
