Wonderful Night on Swift LT for Her

Post by Jersey Girl » Tue Mar 02, 2010 3:03 pm

Dear Friends,

Last night I popped on my Swift LT for her and relaxed. I used to have trouble breathing with it but last night, I had the angle of the nasal pillows just right, had used the Lanisoh Lanolin on my nares to help make a seal. I had my new pad-a-cheek cozy fleese hose cover on both my short and long hoses and I slept so comfy! I feel wonderful.

I now actually look forward to going to sleep because I know I will wake up feeling refreshed. Life is good!

Your friend,

Jersey Girl

ANd the strap covers are just to die for--I am glad that you found the secret to comfort. I too am asleep in about 2 min. after "gearing" up!

Thanks Carrie! It's funny - it took awhile for me to get the hang of it. I have noticed that if I have it angled just right, it is easy to breathe and very, very quiet. I feel all cozy when I go to bed, now that the pad-a-cheek hose cover is on. My AHI was only 2.4 last night - my best ever! Leaks - 0. I love sleeping on my side so easily. Now, if only the doctor would read my husband's sleep study results! We need to get him a mask ASAP!

Warmly,

Your friend,

Jersey Girl

Why did you need the nose covers?

Dear Judy,

I needed the hose covers because my husband likes our bedroom at a cool 64 degrees. I need my humidifier running at 2 or I get a sore throat. When we combine the cold room air with the warm humidifier air, we get lots of condensation in the hose, otherwise known as "rain out". I ordered a 6' hose cover and a 1' hose cover from http://www.padacheek.com. I have a Swift LT for her, so it comes with a short 1 foot hose that attaches to the longer hose. The hose covers are made of fleece and in a cute pattern, so it feels as though my hose is now kind of like a stuffed animal. Very cozy to sleep with. I feel as though I have now personalized my equipment so that it is more....me!

I am also very, very happy to be able to get up in the morning feeling refreshed and have lost that sick, fatigued, gotten run over by a truck feeling.

Wishing you peaceful, restorative sleep,

Jersey Girl
