Just about to start!

Post by ched03 » Fri Feb 26, 2010 9:36 pm

I just ordered my first CPAP machine and nasal pillow tonight. I am so excited. I cannot wait to actually "sleep" when I go to bed. My brain apparently needs a rest. I can't remember what it is like to not be tired all day long. I should get my CPAP on Tuesday. Tuesday just can't come fast enough!

Congrats, ched, and welcome to the forum.

I trust all of us here remember where you're at right now. I know I do. I couldn't wait to get my machine, once I was diagnosed.

Keep a good attitude as you begin your therapy, as there are often bumps in the road. But with a positive outlook, some perseverance and patience, you'll be be getting effective therapy, sleeping well, and waking up feeling like a "normal" person again before long.

Keep us posted, and ask any questions you have about the therapy or equipment. Lots of help here. Best of luck!

I will have the Resmed Elite II and my pressure will be at 8. I have ordered the Swift LT for her because I am a small female.

Hi Ched, and Welcome to the forum. Congrat's on the new machine. Like BB said, we can all relate where you are now. I remember when I was about to get my machine and mask, I was as excited as you are. Keep us posted on how your doing with your new set up, and ask questions, there's a great bunch of folks here who are very wise and very helpful. Once again, Welcome to the group.
