Sleepless in LI approaches 2,000 post milstone! Already!!!!

In the speed of a bullet, in a bat of an eye, Lori approaches 2,000 posts quicker than anybody in tghe history of this forum. Or any other forum I have been a member of.

I am in awe, I have been a member of this list for at least three times as long as me and I am not even to a 1,000 yet and I am not passive.

Sorry that should be PERSON-Just don't type to good! My wife like Lori does about 200 WPM and gets it right! Me i do about 13 WPM and mess it up!

I don't know whether to be more embarassed or more humbled. It is a bit crazy that I was able to get that many posts on this site in the past four months, but it happened when I wasn't looking, I swear! And to read the comments that you folks write - Steve, you have to be one of the nicest people I've ever met, only sweet things to say EVER, and R&R always so sweet, watching my numbers and calling it to everyone's attention...I tell you, I don't know how to feel.

Sometimes I say to myself, I have to distance myself a little from the site as I get too involved. I'll sign on to check my email and before I read my personal mail, I see the links to this site and I end up spending all my time responding...But if I may be honest for a moment here, I love you guys, I love meeting all the new people who come to this site, and really get an incredibly wonderful feeling being able to make others feel better when they're just starting their therapy or being able to share some information that may make someone else's time a bit easier.

Thank you for noticing. Like I said, I don't know how to feel...

PS: 3 kids (22, 19 and almost 13, and a full-time court reporter)

Lori, congratulations. No, it is nothing to be ashamed or embaressed of, given how much you have helped people here. And I include myself in that number.

Looking at your posting number (1978 posts as I type this) and your average of 15+ posts per day you should reach this new milestone today or tomorrow.

Keep up the good work, regardless of the actual numbers!

You do go out of your way to offer help and advice to any who ask. That's a wonderful quality for anyone to have.
Your posts are informative and fun. I started visiting this forum for information and now I need to check in several times a day to see what is being said and talked about.

Beth, I sure do ! Thanks.

And thank you, Bill & Peg, too, for helping me feel a little less like I have no life. It may be hard to believe, but I do actually have a career for the past 25+ years, a husband and three "kids." I put it in quotes as two are 19 and 22, and one still in middle school. Because of all the time I spend up here on my computer on this site, my husband now calls me, lovingly, of course, "CPAP." I think he's forgotten my real name.

I think this is almost the feeling one gets from doing volunteer work when you feel so good inside being able to possibly help someone with your suggestions or advice, but you can do it from your own home. And like I've said, it's payback for all the help I've received from all the great people that make this site such a wonderful place to be.

Well Lori, (and all) thanks for all of the information, I've learned so much about OSA and the treatment from y'all it is truly scary.

Seriously, the solution is simple, get a laptop equipped with a WIFI card and a WIFI router, thus you can hang with the family, and still surf. On our coffee table at home, Stacy has her PowerBook and I have my HP, so in the evening we can surf together

The only problem with getting a wifi and a laptop is I'd still be diverting my attention to the computer and not the family. But when you have two young men who are always doing their thing, and a daughter who spends a lot of time either with her friends or on her own computer, that just leaves one main person, my husband, who may feel a bit left behind. However, he is disabled and has fortunately been assisting his friends with some projects and doing his own around here and he spends a lot of time doing that. So we all basically co-exist and have the things we love to do. Maybe that's why it works. And it gives me the freedom, as I'm doing my job on my computer, to leave my AOL open and hear when new mail arrives, so I usually answer it right away; hence, the 2000 (almost) posts.

Another thing is, I always tell myself I'm just going to read the posts and not reply. But as you can see, my brain FORCES me to say something in response. There is no shutting me up when I get the urge to say something that pops into my head. I guess I owe you all a thanks for still reading all that I write. It's actually been my pleasure.
