Post by socknitster » Tue Feb 09, 2010 9:05 pm

Just in case anyone else is curious about Zeo, I just got an email in my inbox saying Amazon has zeo on sale for one day only for $199. I'm very curious about this device and it was interesing to read the reviews.

Sorry it is so late in the day when I am posting this. The kids kept me busy all day. It was a snow day!

thank you for posting about Zeo. Very interesting for CPAPers.
The 2 first reviews are people who suffer from apnea and they get great benefits from Zeo.

Will watch this product and get more info on its effectiveness

I got one recently. It is a high quality, professionally put-together system. The users manual and their website are top notch. This is just to say that its not a cheap, gimmicky-feeling piece of electronics (say...like 99% of the pedometers I've come across).

I'm loving checking out the results, it is really cool to see how much of each type of sleep I get, and when. And how many times I wake up during the night! They have an online journal function, where you can record different things that you do each day, and then eventually when you have enough data to analyze you may discover that you sleep great on days that you work out X amount of time, or on days where you don't have a coffee after noon, etc. Or that you get more minutes of deep sleep if you read instead of watching TV right before turning off the light. Whatever! Its totally personal to you and the data you input.

I'm not sure that I'll ever get around to doing the journal input, but I am enjoying the simple data as is. That being said, I'm not sure how useful it is if one doesn't really try to affect changes in their sleep quality by monitoring their daily activities. I guess its just plain interesting for now.

I've only just set it to Smartwake me, which means that the alarm will go off, if the right condition exists, within a half hour before my set alarm time. Its supposed to wake me up when doing so will be very easy and happy for me, versus when its more difficult to wake up/groggy feeling. I can't wait to see if/how this works. It will wake you at your alarm time if there wasn't a better time to do so beforehand.

Anyway, I just wanted to say that its very nicely made, and IMO worth the $199 sale price right now especially if you have the initiative to log your daily activities so that it is correlated with your nightly sleep data. I hope I get the time to make better use of it soon.

I love mine, too. Well worth the investment. It's helped me make better choices, and I especially love the wake up feature. The music/sounds are so much more pleasant than the news, lol.

What a cool device. It's like having a mini sleep study every night in the comfort of your own home.
