Need a good full face mask! Help!

Post by Cathe » Sat Feb 06, 2010 7:50 pm

Hi! I am so unhappy with my full face mask...I have the Ultra Mirage. The elbow joint continually breaks. The rubber vibrates. the headgear really is made for a man's head not a woman's! HELP. Any suggestions?

Yes, go try on some others at your local dealer, or through somewhere like Cpap.com. You're the only one in the end that can decide what works for you. The UM FF has been working for me for years, but I can't stand the pillow/cushion/prong type of masks, whereas I think an awful lot of people love them, but dislike (or can't wear) others.

You may need a different size Ultra Mirage face mask. Call Resmed, 800 424 0737, and ask them to send you the templates to see which is the correct size for your face.

I've noticed that a lot of people who have problems with the Ultra Mirage have good luck with the Quattro. Make sure you size it right with the online fitting guide.

I like my Hybrid mask, which is a cross between a FFM and nasal pillows. That mask comes with all the parts to fit any size.

I have the Quattro, and I love it! It's my first FF mask, so I truly don't have anything to compare with it. But, it is a good idea to try out different ones, comfort is the ultimate goal. Best of Luck, and keep us updated on how your doing.
