My bloating went away eventually. I think the body just needs to adjust.

Do a search on aerophagia.
It has been covered about 12 million times on this site.
It is simply air being ingested and causes the blaoting.
It is not gas in the traditional sense that is metabolic and is not helped by typical anti gas agents.

I found that changing from apap to cpap decreased my aerophagia. And taking OTC Gas-X pills took care of the rest of it. Also EPR (exhale relief) helps me, but others find that it does not.

I also try to eat a light dinner, at least 3 hours before bedtime.

There are lots of previous posts on the subject, with lots of varying opinions/solutions. Hope you find something that helps you.

I use a Respironics PR System One Auto cpap machine. I've never had any hint of bloating, or the aerophagia, with this machine while using its apap mode.

I tried a different machine for a few days, the ResMed 8 Autoset II, and I had terrible aerophagia while using that machine on apap. I posted about it here because I feared that the machine might be defective. The general consensus was that:

different machines = different algorithms = different results for each person

If you are unable to resolve your bloating with all the other ideas that folks are giving you, you may want to try another brand of machine. Good luck!

Do you have C-flex or A-flex on your machine? Switching to C-flex + on my machine really helped my aerophagia.
