What is happening?

Post by Babs » Sun Jan 31, 2010 3:53 am

Well tonight my husband said my cpap woke him up making a lot of noise...like 35 mph wind coming from it ( not the usual noise from my machine). He said it was so loud and he had trouble waking me up. He said when he got me to respond the cpap would sound normal. Then I would go right back to sleep and the high wind noise started all over again. This went on for at least an hour till he finally woke me all the way up. I didn't feel like I wasn't breathing like I did before I got my cpap. I can't make the cpap duplicate the noise. Any ideas? I do not have a memory card for my cpap. I have the Resmed Elite S8 with a full mask and my pressure is 15.

Hi, I have the same mask and periodically get the same problem. It was hard to find it, but finally discovered the tiny soft rubber CO2 vent (with little holes) comes out of where it is seated, and I have to use a fingernail to tuck it back in place, which is sometimes hard (not the pressing in part, but getting it done just right). Very annoying, but that's where my problem comes from.
