OT Bad day rant: The End...maybe

Post by Muse-Inc » Fri Jan 15, 2010 7:38 pm

Roof replaced. Interior repairs done. Now gotta pay the folks Stickon bandages gone...hooray!!! Cut sealed over nicely & looks really good. Time will tell if it's gonna scar...been using my alphalipoic acid + E + green tea cream to reduce the bruising which thankfully is almost completely gone now. I am so tired of packing stuff up and then forgetting what got packed with what so even tho the storage bins are clear, there's so many we still don't know where stuff is...did find the china tho, so no mo0re paper plates...steak just doesn't cut well on a paper plate & casseroles are a disaster

Hi Muse-Inc

Sorry to hear of your accident.

Glad you are OK. Good job the blow was not lower. I guess in a way you were lucky.

I wonder if your friend at the donut place thinks the car door story is just because you regretted telling him your Mother slogged you

quote - Another friend says I should tell people that I ran into a door...and literally that's the truth! - End Quote

Wouldn't the truth be that "you sat into a door". Much more unusual and distinctive.

cheers

Muse, not to make light of it, but your day reminds me of--Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, one of my favorite children's stories.

That's smarts! You need to work on your story a bit though. Here's an example: A few years ago my brother broke his leg playing golf. Actually, he fell down a hill while he was walking to the next hole. But, it's way more funny to try to figure out how you'd break your leg playing golf plus he doesn't seem like such a clutz. I'd like to help you come up with the perfect line, but, I've got nothin'!

Hi Muse,

I'm sorry to hear of your difficult day. That can really hurt! Been there, done that -- numerous times!

A quick story.... A few years ago I reunited (via email) with my best girlfriend from high school. We had lost touch many years before, and I'd moved quite some distance from our hometown. Anyway, shortly after we reunited, she and her husband were going to be in my area, as their son was starting college near here. So we arranged to meet at her hotel to have some lunch and catch up. The night before I was to meet with her, I walked smack-dab into the side edge of an interior door in my house. Didn't even see it. Walked right into it -- hard! I wear eyeglasses, and was cut similar to your situation. The next day I met her with a nasty looking black eye. I looked like I'd been punched in the face, and I felt quite self-conscious. I'm still not sure she believed my explanation either!

Anyway, I feel your pain. That's very good news on zero apneas though!!! I hope tomorrow is a much better day for you.

I know how frustrating stuff like this can be. A silly problem that consumed much of a day and wasted precious monetary resources. Sometimes, these can wear us down more than a big problem. But just be glad it isn't a big problem! Hope you feel better soon!

I accidentally chopped my arm off once and that really hurt.

Well, not really, but I thought it might make you feel better about your accident.

I'm sure with your nutrition you will heal quickly.

Muse-Inc,

I can almost feel your pain!! WHat is it with car doors? You push thm open and they bounce back just as your are getting out.

I'm glad you didn't get injured in any place that would prevent you from using your mask.

Feel better, soon.

Thanks guys! Thank goodness, the mask straps do not touch the tender spots...tho I must say that it musta been some knock I took...got tender spots on my jaw under that eye and the skull plates on the top of my head are sore plus the whole eye socket is just sore not painful (and I sleep on that side!) and my eyelid is puffy. But, yipee, NO black & blue eye, just that now maroon-colored bruise. Congested last night so pressure up, leak up, AI=0 but HI up but expected. Rain today, lots of it as predicted...no roof leaks anywhere hooray!!! Cold & wet ugh ugh ugh and I had errands to run most of the day so I ache. Got some stares and funny looks, a few questions, said my car attacked me
