I bought an 8 foot tube which is an upgrade from the 6 footer I've been using since I started on CPAP in the spring. I was wondering if anyone knows how much the extra two feet is going to affect my pressure. I'm currently titrated for 18 and was thinking I may have to bump it up with the longer tube. Anyone got any suggestions?
Thanks,
Dave

Ck your manual to see if your machine has a hose length setting.

Re: My new 8 foot tube
Most machines can handle a 10 foot hose, the worst thing would be it being harder for APAP to sense pressure. No increase in pressure should be required. If your machine provides data and you have the software you can see if changes need to be made. Jim

Re: My new 8 foot tube
I use an 8ft. Hose here at the house I see no change. I use a 10ft hose in my RV no change what so ever.
I asked the RPSGT at the sleep center and he said that my machine would not be effected by up to a 12 ft hose. So go figure. Good Luck
