Is it normal to have mist in the humidifier chamber?

Post by jjocelyn » Tue Dec 29, 2009 9:03 am

hi all,
Just want to check with you all that is it normal to have mist in the humidifier chamber? Where should I place the extra hose? should let it freely hanging at the side of the bed or should hang it up above the user?

Last question not about cpap, how to update my personal profile so that i can add in the models that we are using below my message?

It may depend on your humidifier, but I regularly have condensation inside my humidifier tank. It seems absolutely normal to me.

To update your profile, click on "User Control Panel", above and to the left of here. One of the tabs across the top (well, if you consider the "top" to be below the first two inches of header) says "Profile." Then, one of the tabs on the left of that one says "Edit Equipment."

I left my hose hanging when I used the nasal mask. I have the pillows now, and I just have a scrunchy that hangs from the window lock above my bed. It's tied to a string and I put the hose through the scrunchy. It's really unobtrusive as far as decor goes.

When you say extra hose you mean the extra length in the hose you are using and not an extra hose that is connected to your cpap unit correct?

Mine hangs down some but if I have a problem with condensation I raise it up so it runs back into my humidifier chamber.
