Question about heated hose with GoodNight 420

Post by 4Katie » Sat Sep 24, 2005 7:28 pm

I got a GoodNight 420 to use for travel - and am I glad I did! It's so small and lightweight - very easy to travel with. I also got an Aussie heated hose to use with it, but I'm confused...

There is a very small hoses sticking out of each end of the main hose. What the heck are they for - and what am I supposed to do with them?

And what do you do with the piggy-back power supply? Plug it into itself?

Some day I'll get the hang of all this stuff...

One soft, sweet song's just enough to clear my head...

Which model of the 420 did you get?
If its the 420E that small hose is the sensor hose and should be attached to the machine right next to the main hose. Now if you have an non-auto model of the 420 (420G???....I am not sure since I have the 420E) then it might not use a small sensor hose. (can anyone confirm this?)

The piggback connector works by the short end plugging into your 420 power supply cord and the longer "tail" plugging into the machine, so you don't have to have an extra power supply for the hose, which makes the overall setup even lighter to travel with.

Katie

Ignore this if you already have things sorted out.

The 420S (which I believe is the same as the 420G - both non-auto) also uses the small sensor tube plugged into the front of the machine. It "reads" what is happening at the mask end.

Does the hose that came with your machine have the same tube inside?

The power cord of your 420 plugs into the heated hose wiring which then plugs into the machine. To turn off the heated hose you have to switch off or unplug the machines power adapter.
