I think I paid off my debt

Post by Uncle_Bob » Thu Dec 24, 2009 11:51 am

Its been what seems like a hell of a ride since February when i was diagnosed but I think I may have got my therapy under control. With the exception of sinus infections, colds and nose cauterizations I think i may have arrived at a trend, a trend in both numbers and in how i feel. Although i have been getting reasonable numbers for a while i always felt a bit tired and struggled with early mornings. However this week I feel i may have finally paid off my sleep debt.

Its been a week of

AI 0
AHI < 4
leak 0
average sleep is down to 5-6.5 hours
my anxiety is hardly noticeable
i am procrastinating much less and am much more confident and alert

Obviously I'm really pleased with all this and hope it lasts. I made three adjustments last week that greatly improved my therapy, i raised my lower pressure to 9 (from 7) and increased my EPR from 2 to 3 AND i started using the Pur-Sleep Regenesis pillow

With these changes and my original magic medium milky number 6 Swift LT pillow i think i may have hit the sweet spot just in time for Christmas

Merry Christmas to all
UB

EDIT : I made three adjustments not two

That's wonderful UB!!!! I myself have just started therapy 27 days ago and am going through the same things. I am very pro-active in doing my therapy and want to feel better, it good to hear that there is a light at the end of our hoses! Continued success Bob, and Merry Christmas.

Congrats Uncle-Bob! Not to be picky but I count 3 adjustments, pressure, EPR and bed pillow, so which do you think made such an improvement? We'll never know, will we? Merry Xmas! Dori

Uncle Bob
Doesn't it feel great to wake up and actually feel like you had a good nights sleep?
