I'm generally happy with this mask in the ~2 weeks I've been on CPAP, but its clever flappy cushion thing traps water in the nooks and crannies. I can't figure out how to get it to dry & I'm worried it will start growing mildew! I've just been hooking the headgear around a towel bar & letting the mask hang cushion down ... I've tried all kinds of angles and nothing works. Is there a trick to this? Should I not worry about it?
I just took it all apart & washed inside the flaps so I hope that will kill any little bugs that started to set up housekeeping.

And if your machine turns off automatically, you migh be able to cancel that auto option.

FWIW
I have that mask and others. After I soak, wash, and rinse them (early in the day) I give them a good shake to get rid of as much water as possible, then place them where they are bathed in the dehumidified air from the A/C. Works fine for me. When the weathercools and the heat is on, the lowered humidity of heated air should do the job.
