Mirage Activa LT Mask Question
Mirage Activa LT Mask Question
It's been a while since I posted here or even visited. I finally need a new mask and called and ordered one. My old mask has been replaced with a new Activa LT mask. It seems to be ok and I used it last night and slept great. The only problem is the head gear/strap. It seems to be a bit on the short side where it connects to the lower part of the mask. It seemed tight on my face all night but I can't adjust it any looser. I went to the DME to see what they could do but they said that's how it is supposed to be and we checked a few other head gear but they seemed to be the same length. Anyone else have this problem and if so, what have you done to fix it? I could use my old strap but it is worn out. ANy help would be appreciated.
Re: Mirage Activa LT Mask Question
Hi Sunny16,
Welcome back! I use the Mirage Activa LT mask and I haven't had that problem at all. I have plenty of strap there. Are you sure you're wearing the headgear low enough in the back? Perhaps there are "velcro extenders" on the market, or you could check the fabric store?
Sorry I can't be of more assistance. Maybe someone else will come along with a suggestion....

Re: Mirage Activa LT Mask Question
sunny16: do you know that any nasal headstrap can work with any mask. it is the connecting part that is different (and that is part of the mask not part of the strap)but they all can be connected to any connecting part by their own velcro
even full face headstrap can be connected to nasal mask (sometime in this case you might need to cut the connection on the back and create 2 straps idependent of each other , upper strap and lower one)
so use the previous headstrap that was fitting you on the new mask
funny that your .... DME didn't know that !!
