I was prescribed/fitted with a size large Mirage Quattro mask. It worked well, but I had to REALLY tighten it down to work at 22/20 pressure setting without leaking.
I ordered another one in size medium by accident. WOW, what a difference! I don't need to tighten the mask anywhere near as tight. The straps are much more comfortable and I don't wake up with marks/indentations on my face.
My head is huge, but I highly recommend trying a smaller size for better comfort if you have to over-tighten the mask in order to avoid leaks at the bottom and sides.

Re: Suggestion for Mirage Quattro Users w/ High Pressue
I'm happy it's working for you.
I purchased a Quattro size extra small. My pressure is set at 11, and I can't get a seal no matter what I try. I even ordered the size small headgear because the standard headgear seemed too big. I want so much to make it work, but I haven't found a solution yet. I'm considering buying the Ultra to see if it fits my face.

There are some more people in this thread that found a medium Quattro worked better for them than a large: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=46925&p=422307

Thanks, PST, for mentioning that thread. I reread it and it gave me lots of food for thought. I think I'll try the Ultra Mirage, maybe even the papcap. Not right away, though, don't want to shock my husband too much when the bills arrive!
