My Cpap (Remstar Pro M Series Model 400M) has a display panel that you can use to view Therapy Hours, Blower Hours, 7 day average, 30 day average and a few other things. The Therapy hours is no longer increasing. The 7 day average is normally between 5.5 and 6 and this morning is is down to 1.3. The 30 day average is normally between 5.5 and 6 and it is down to 4:18 and decreases every day.
I took the unit back to the DME where they tested by putting a meter that reads the CPAP pressure (14) and read the data from the card. The DME said the unit works and there is nothing wrong. The Data that was read from the card indicates that the unit if functioning normally. They said that sometimes the problem can be cased by a bad data card and installed the new one. As the therapy hours did not increase this morning increasing that did not solve the problem.
I am confident that the CPAP therapy is working as I feel fine in the morning. My issue is that the unit does not detect the therapy and therefor does not convey the proper results on the screen that I use to monitor nightly results.
The unit is about 45 days out of warranty.
Does anybody know how to fix this or what the cost of repairs would be?
Remstar Pro - no new therapy hours on display panel
Re: Remstar Pro - no new therapy hours on display panel
Sounds like a problem with the electronics. If you are not reading your data it is not a real big problem. Not knowing what the DME got off the card makes it hard to know just how bad it is. At any rate I would try to get it fixed. It must go back to Respirionics and must be sent back by the DME. They won't take it from you. I would insest that it be sent back and be checked. If there is an electrical problem it could get worse and the closer it is to the warrenty I would bet they would repair it under warrenty but you need to send it in ans see.
