cpap "hickies" on my forehead!
I may have already asked this, but....how do I avoid waking up with unsightly cpap "hickies" on my forehead each morning?? I have tried the gel and it doesn't work....any other ideas??? It is very embarrassing especially since I don't have bangs to hide it
thanks!
thanks!

Which mask are you using?
Or is Edward Cullen visiting you?

I wear a headband (ala Olivia Newton John style) around my head under my mask. Otherwise, I would have that, too.

I have a Zest mask by Fisher and Paykell....I WISH Edward Cullen were giving me hickies LOL....
Re: cpap "hickies" on my forehead!
Have you tried to adjust the mask so it isn't so tight up there? I have mornings when I wake up with extremely noticeable marks up there. Their is a new product out for the bridge of your nose it's kind of a clear jelly that you may be able to cut and use.

It sounds like your upper strap(s) are WAY too tight!
Most mask fitting guides recommend the forehead support just lightly touch the forehead. You aren't sleeping face down into the pillow, are you?

Maybe, maybe not. The forehead pads on the Zest and other F&P masks are very firm. They put big dents in my forehead, though PadACheek makes a forehead pad that helped quite a bit. If the pads were less firm or they had different thicknesses (since the forehead piece is not adjustable), that might make a difference.LinkC wrote:It sounds like your upper strap(s) are WAY too tight!

I simply can't wear my F&P mask every night, which is one reason I'm back to the Swift LT. Now if only I could get some decent pillows for it!

.
I just place a piece of folded fleece on my forehead before putting my mask on. I've also used a folded sock (no cuff). Whatever works for you!
