I'm glad to say that I've been on CPAP for 10 days now and I feel that I've been getting much better rest. I was checking my stats: Therapy hrs, 72.6 ~ Blower hrs, 74.7 ~ Compliance Check, 33118 for last 10 days.
Does this mean 10/72.6 = 7.26 avg. hrs of sleep per night with 2.1hrs of magically removing my mask at night with wife waking up by loud blowing noise and having me put it back on? And, if I'm somewhat correct on my math skills, how does the compliance check #'s of 33118 come into play? Thx in advance......

Re: Compliance Check at 10 days?
Congrats on your absolutely GREAT start with CPAP, Dan!
As far as I know (and I may be wrong about this) the Compliance Check # is a code number that gives the DME the compliance info (number of hours the machine has been used.)
Sounds like a long way around the barn, but I guess the DME and/or insurance company considers it a surer way of getting the correct hours of use info than by just looking at "hours of use" on a Respironics machine.
The Compliance Check # itself is not literally the number of hours the machine has been used.Dan on CPAP wrote:how does the compliance check #'s of 33118 come into play?

Re: Compliance Check at 10 days?
Thanks harry33 and sleepy gal. I'll try the the "pull tape off of face trick" to wake me up. I really like the people on this site. Everyone is very encouraging and I appreciate the tips that I have helped get to day 11. Thanks again

Hi Dan,
I echo all the welcomes you have received from this forum. And, congratulations on completing 11 days on Cpap.
You sound like other than taking your mask off in the night, you have had a good beginning.
