Is it dead?

Post by gljo1215 » Sun Nov 15, 2009 9:30 am

My smart card, that is… Yesterday was the first day in months that I haven’t immediately checked my card and printed the results. Today, I expected I would have to print out TWO days worth of information and it says I have NONE! Eeek! It says: Smart card DOES NOT contain any therapy data - although it does show information up to 11-13-09. I’ve been using the same card for over a year… Is there any way to reformat it, or is it just time for a new card? Thanks!

Go to http://www.mycpap.org/ and download and install the smartcard tool kit. This will allow you to reformat your card, and start over. You can also use it to save the data to your computer each week, and then reformat.

I use a PDF printer program to print my data off every week (daily if there's an issue), then save the smart card data to my computer, and then I reformat the card. This eliminates the long-term data from the card, but I did find that if you don't erase the Encore Viewer files, you can re-access it, and print the long-term data to a PDF or your printer.
