Dry Mouth

Post by SkipperH » Sat Oct 10, 2009 5:40 am

I'm using a full face mask and I've got a humidifier on my unit, but I still wake up occasionally with a very dry mouth any suggestions?

You may be mouth breathing, try turning up your humidifier setting, to see if that helps.

OR......try turning your humidifier DOWN. Too much humidification can close up your nasal passages and cause mouth-breathing.
Also, do nasal cleansing/rinsing before bedtime to get your nasal passages open/clear.

Whatever you do......DON'T use Afrin (nasal spray). It has a rebound effect and creates more problems than you originally had.
